Job summary

Zurich North America is offering an Underwriting Internship for Summer 2027. As part of the Underwriting team, you will receive mentorship, hands-on training, and opportunities to contribute to real projects impacting customers and communities.

You will learn underwriting fundamentals, assist with financial reporting, and engage with clients, brokers, and stakeholders while gaining exposure to a global insurance leader.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Risk Management, Finance, Economics, Business or related field.
• Two or more years of college coursework (rising Junior or Senior).
• Microsoft Office experience.

Responsibilities

• Learn underwriting fundamentals through mentorship and hands-on training.
• Support business unit financial reporting and analysis.
• Assist with preparing financial and operational reports using underwriting and business intelligence tools.
• Support pipeline management and underwriting operations activities.
• Participate in client, broker, and stakeholder meetings.
• Review loss summaries and assist with account analysis.
• Gain exposure to customer, broker, and partner relationships within the insurance industry.
