Job summary

Zurich North America is offering an Underwriting Intern opportunity for Summer 2027. You will work with experienced underwriting professionals on real projects that support business growth, client relationships, and risk management strategies.

As a rising junior or senior pursuing a relevant bachelor's degree, you will gain hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to the insurance industry, including collaboration with brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management, Finance, Economics, Business or related field.
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program and will be enrolled in the Fall of 2027.
• Two or more years of college coursework (should be a rising Junior or Senior).
• Microsoft Office experience.
• Be legally eligible to work in the U.S indefinitely.

Responsibilities

• Learn underwriting fundamentals through mentorship and hands-on training.
• Support business unit financial reporting and analysis.
• Assist with preparing financial and operational reports using underwriting and business intelligence tools.
• Support pipeline management and underwriting operations activities.
• Participate in client, broker, and stakeholder meetings.
• Review loss summaries and assist with account analysis.
• Gain exposure to customer, broker, and partner relationships within the insurance industry.
