Job summary

Alliant is seeking an underwriting support professional in Colorado to assist underwriters with broker submissions, rating, and policy documentation. You will help obtain quotes, verify completeness, and negotiate pricing under underwriting guidelines.

The role requires 3+ years in insurance, strong math and customer service skills, and the ability to work in a team environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office is essential; a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• 3+ years related work experience; experience in insurance industry.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Review policies, contracts and programs to identify errors and discrepancies with applications, quotes, proposals or binders.
• Assist underwriting risks, suggesting rates and premiums based on coverage.
• Prepare policy delivery with related documents.
• Underwrite a book of new and renewal business.
• Communicate with markets to obtain necessary documentation.
• Participate in broker meetings, underwriters, account executives, and carrier reps.
• Prepare Renewal Specifications as required by Management.
• Support Account Managers; research and respond to client coverage questions.
• Maintain submission files and history of written/lost business.
• Follow up on client suspense and complex issue resolution.
• Compute rates and premiums; assemble declarations and forms.
• Assist in issuing documents and assembling policies.
• Ensure data integrity in agency management systems.
