Job summary

Bridge Specialty Group in Greensboro, NC, is seeking an Underwriting Assistant to support the underwriting team by reviewing applications, inspections, and related information to evaluate and rate submissions for insurance.

You will assist the Underwriter with ensuring complete applications, issuing quotes and binders, renewals, and certificates of insurance, while maintaining strict confidentiality and complying with state laws.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Exceptional telephone demeanour.
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
One to two years related experience.

Responsibilities

Review insurance applications, inspections, and other information to evaluate, classify, and rate submissions.
Provide full assistance and support for the sales and production process, including new business quotes.
Issuance of renewals and certificates of insurance.
Work with Underwriter on risk reviews, rate submissions for premium and terms.
Review indications, quotes, binders, submissions and policies for completeness and accuracy.
Familiarize with agency management software systems and suggest labor-saving uses.
Order and review inspections and verify exposures against policy information.
