Bridge Specialty Group in Greensboro, NC seeks an Underwriting Assistant to support underwriting operations and ensure accurate submission handling. You will review applications, inspections, and related data to help rate and issue policies in a timely, compliant manner.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma with 1–2 years related experience, strong confidentiality, excellent communication, and familiarity with agency management systems.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Strong confidentiality and professional communication skills.
• 1–2 years of related underwriting or administrative experience preferred.
• Ability to learn and use agency management software systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Underwriter by reviewing applications, inspections, and data to evaluate, classify, and rate submissions.
• Provide support for the sales and production process, including new business quotes as needed.
• Issue renewals and assist with policy issuance in a timely, accurate manner.
• Review submissions and policies for completeness and accuracy; ensure required forms and editions are used.
• Identify exposures during inspections and verify information against policy data for underwriting guidance.
• Assist with issuance of Certificates of Insurance.
