Job summary

Bridge Specialty Group in Morristown, NJ is hiring an Underwriting Assistant to support the underwriting team with applications, inspections, and risk reviews. You will help issue quotes and binders, process renewals, and ensure accurate policy issuance in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, strong communication, and 1–2 years of related experience, with a commitment to confidentiality and customer service excellence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Exceptional telephone demeanor.
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
• One to two years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Review applications, inspections, and information to evaluate risks and rate submissions.
• Provide support for sales and production, including new business quotes.
• Issue renewals and assist with binders and policies.
• Review risk submissions for completeness and ensure underwriting guidelines are followed.
• Familiarize with agency management software and suggest efficiency improvements.
• Order and review inspections to identify exposures and verify information.
• Issue Certificates of Insurance.
