Job summary

Bridge Specialty Group, based in Greensboro, NC, is seeking an Underwriting Assistant to support the underwriting team. You will review applications and inspections, prepare quotes, binders, and renewals, and work closely with the Underwriter to ensure accuracy and timely policy issuance.

The role emphasizes handling confidential information, maintaining strong communications with producers, and using agency management software to improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication and professional phone demeanor.

• 1–2 years related experience in underwriting or insurance support preferred.
• Licensing may be required within a specified timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Underwriter by gathering required information and ensuring applications are complete.
• Support sales and production by providing new business quotes when needed.
• Assist in issuance of renewals and prepare binders and quotes.
• Review risk submissions, rates, and terms with the Underwriter for accuracy.
• Help manage inspections and verify information against policy details.
• Familiarize with agency management software and suggest efficiency improvements.

Bridge Specialty Group is seeking an Underwriting Assistant to join our growing team in **Greensboro, NC!**

The Underwriting Assistant willassistthe Underwriter by reviewing insurance applications, inspections, and other pertinent information to evaluate, classify, and rate submissions for insurance by performing the following duties.

How You Will Contribute:

• Work with Underwriter, ensuring that all required information is obtained, proper applications are completed, quotes and binders are confirmed in writing, policies are issued promptly and accurately, state filings (where applicable) are made, and taxes paid in accordance with appropriate state laws.

• Provide fullassistanceand support for the sales and production process; including, but not limited to, providing new business quotes as needed.

• Issuance of renewals.

• Work with Underwriter when reviewing riskssubmittedby Producers, rate submissions for premium and terms, and issuewritten binders.

• Review indications, quotes, binders, submissions and policies for completeness anda highdegree of accuracy including forms and editions.

• Become thoroughly familiar with the use of all agency management software systems and suggest labor saving uses to management.

• Order and review inspections. This duty requires the ability toidentifythe different exposures of risks, verify information obtained on inspection with the information on policy for accuracy and verification of underwriting guidelines.

• Issuance of Certificates of Insurance.

Licenses & Certifications:

• P&C License required.

• Surplus Lines License preferred, and must be obtained within 90 days of employment.

Skills & Experience to Be Successful:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Exceptional telephonedemeanor.

• Ability tomaintaina high levelofconfidentiality.

• One (1) to two (2)yearsrelated experience.
