Philadelphia Insurance Companies, a member of the Tokio Marine Group, is seeking an Underwriter Trainee in Bala Cynwyd, PA or Leawood, KS. The role supports property & casualty underwriting staff with administrative tasks and learning the underwriting process.

A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required, along with strong communication and analytical skills. The position offers growth opportunities within a national insurer and exposure to multiple P&C product areas.

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to establish and build healthy working relationships with clients, vendors and peers.
• Basic knowledge of insurance products.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Take pricing referrals, coverage questions and endorsement referrals on our Automatic book according to delegated underwriting authority and guidelines.
• Accurately enter all new and renewal submissions, update the workflow tracking system with appropriate entries and complete account status follow up by contacting agents, brokers and the PHLY marketing department.
• Contact agents, brokers and marketing department to clarify and correct missing or incorrect information and conduct follow ups on binding conditions and information requests.
• Learn key components of common P&C products and maintain knowledge of workflow and procedures.
• Support underwriting staff using necessary systems, forms, methods and procedures.
