Job summary

Leidos’ Undersea Systems Division in San Diego, CA is seeking a Software Engineer to join a fast-paced R&D team focused on underwater vehicle systems, maritime sensors, subsea telemetry, and ISR solutions for NIWC PAC. You will develop software for uncrewed underwater vehicles and sensor integration, test and deliver capabilities, with hands-on hardware/software bring-up and benchtop troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen with an active SECRET or higher security clearance (or ability to obtain Secret clearance).
• Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
• Process-oriented with attention to detail and strong leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deliver software for uncrewed underwater vehicles (UUVs) and sensor integration.
• Refine UI and control of sensors and optimize UUV behaviors to support data collection.
• Produce performance reports and documentation for deliveries and tests.
• Collaborate with a small engineering team and project stakeholders, including at-sea testing.
• Assist with post-test data analysis and briefing materials.
