Job summary

Ishpi Information Technologies, Inc. (DBA ISHPI) is seeking a Hardware Development Engineer to design, develop, and integrate electronic hardware for Navy programs.

You will produce schematics, PCB layouts, BOMs, and supporting documentation while coordinating procurement and fabrication activities. The role requires hands-on hardware fabrication, testing, and validation, plus experience integrating embedded software and COTS solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in schematic capture and multi-layer PCB layout.
• Experience with hardware testing and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
• Experience with hardware fabrication, assembly, and testing.
• Familiarity with Navy, DoD, or defense acquisition programs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and document electronic circuits, boards, and hardware systems for Navy programs.
• Develop drawings, BOMs, schematics, and configuration management artifacts.
• Perform schematic capture, PCB layout, and related hardware design activities for prototype and production systems.
• Coordinate procurement of materials and subassemblies for hardware development.
• Fabricate, assemble, and integrate hardware systems per engineering docs and procedures.
• Develop detailed fabrication, assembly, integration, and test procedures.
• Conduct functional and system-level testing and troubleshoot issues.
• Integrate embedded software and COTS software into hardware platforms, and test interoperability.
• Prepare engineering reports, test reports, and related program documents.
