Job summary

Ishpi Information Technologies, Inc. (ISHPI) is seeking a Hardware Development Engineer to design, develop, test, and field electronic hardware systems for Navy undersea warfare programs.

You will integrate embedded software and COTS solutions with hardware platforms, while ensuring compliance with government requirements. The role spans schematic capture, PCB layout, fabrication, assembly, and test across lab, pier-side, and at-sea environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in schematic capture and multi-layer PCB layout.
• Experience with hardware testing and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
• U.S. Citizenship and an active government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and document electronic circuit boards, electro-mechanical assemblies, acoustic devices, and related hardware systems.
• Develop drawings, BOMs, schematics, and configuration management artifacts.
• Perform schematic capture, PCB layout support, and related hardware design activities for prototype and production systems.
• Maintain drawing packages, engineering change documentation, and hardware baselines.
• Procure, fabricate, assemble electronic hardware systems and test articles.
