Job summary

GridHawk is hiring Utility Locate Technicians to accurately locate underground facilities including electric, gas, and fiber lines. The role involves observing, locating, marking, and documenting locations while following state and client requirements.

You will work independently or with a supervisor, using various methods and equipment. Applicants must pass a background screen with no violations in the last five years and a DOT drug test.

Qualifications

• Background check required; no violations within last 5 years.
• Must pass DOT drug test.

Responsibilities

• Locate underground facilities using transmitted signals and maps.
• Work in varied terrains and weather conditions.
• Interpret job orders, blueprints, and site plans to plan routing and duties.
• Perform locates and on-call locates during regular, OT, and holiday hours as needed.
• Maintain professional communication with customers, co-employees, and third parties.
• Coordinate with management, contractors, and utility customers to ensure damage-free environments.
