Job summary

GridHawk LLC is seeking a Locate Technician to accurately locate and verify underground utilities, including telephone lines, electric, gas, and more. You will work independently or with a team, using multiple locating methods and equipment.

Responsibilities include observing, marking, and documenting locations, interpreting prints, and communicating clearly with customers and teammates. A valid driver’s license is required, and the role operates on the road with varying shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• State driver's license required and must be valid.
• Ability to problem solve and read, interpret prints.
• Experience with vacuum trucks is a plus.
• Must be able to lift over 50 lbs and walk/stand for long hours.
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork ability.
• Background check and DOT drug test may be required.

Responsibilities

• Locate underground facilities using transmitter and buried facilities.
• Work in various terrains and weather conditions near construction zones.
• Interpret tickets, blueprints, and maps to route duties.
• Perform locates and on-call locates to meet customer needs.
• Communicate with customers, co-workers, and management to ensure safety.
• Maintain a damage-free environment through careful operations.
