Job summary

USIC Locating Services, LLC seeks diligent field locators to perform underground utility locate tasks in designated areas. You will identify and mark utilities such as telecom, electric, gas, water, and sewer, document findings, and photograph each locate.

This is a daytime, full-time role with potential overtime and on-call shifts. Candidates should be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather, possess strong technology skills, and be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Qualifications

• Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Proficiency with technology.
• Available to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
• Able to pass a drug screen (safety-sensitive position).
• Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
• Able to work in a confined space; walk, bend, and lift up to 75 lbs.
• Able to distinguish between colors used to identify wiring and mark underground utilities.
• Able to read, understand, and reference locate tickets, maps, and prints.
• Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.

Responsibilities

• Correctly, safely, and efficiently locate underground utilities, including telecom, electric, gas, water, and sewer systems.
• Thoroughly search for underground utilities in a designated area, marking location, completing documentation, and photographing each locate.
• Work daytime, full-time with possible overtime and weekend shifts, including on-call shifts as needed.
