Job summary

USIC is seeking an outdoor-oriented Locator to locate underground utilities and mark sites in daytime, full-time roles across various weather conditions. You’ll work with a company-provided vehicle, receive comprehensive training, and enjoy a safety-focused environment.

No prior locating experience is required, but experienced locators are encouraged to apply. This role offers a strong benefits package and opportunities for growth within a nationwide leader in utility location services.

Qualifications

• Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Proficiency with technology.
• Able to pass a drug screen (safety-sensitive position).
• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs and work in confined spaces.
• Able to read locate tickets, maps, and prints.

Responsibilities

• Correctly locate underground utilities and mark locations.
• Complete documentation and photograph each locate.
• Work daytime, full-time with possible overtime and on-call shifts.
