USIC Locating Services, LLC is seeking a Drop Bury Technician to perform safe, accurate underground utility locates and drop bury work at residential and commercial sites. You will use locating equipment, reference maps, and perform bore work while maintaining records and photos for compliance.

Qualifications

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Pass a drug screen (safety-sensitive position).
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to walk long distances, lift up to 75 lbs, and perform manual labor.
• Experience with locating/digging equipment is helpful but not required.
• Ability to read locate tickets, maps and prints.

Responsibilities

• Drive company vehicle to job sites and perform locates and drop bury tickets as assigned.
• Reference records, maps, and prints to locate and mark underground facilities.
• Use locating equipment and follow procedures to ensure accurate locates.
• Dig or bore cables 6-8 inches deep using digging equipment or hand tools.
• Record time and locate details using smartphone and company software for billing.
• Follow OSHA safety procedures and company guidelines.
• Take photos and complete required documentation.
• Check equipment and supplies daily to stay operational.
• Coordinate with utility representatives, contractors, and property owners.
• Demonstrate professional and respectful behavior.
