Job summary

USIC Locating Services, LLC is seeking drop bury technicians for outdoor field work, locating underground utilities and safely burying lines at residential or commercial sites. Compensation starts at $24.00 per hour for new technicians and goes up to $29.00 per hour with substantial prior drop bury experience.

Training is 100% paid and benefits are available to eligible teammates. Responsibilities include driving to jobs, using locating equipment, marking utilities, trenching or boring 6–8

Qualifications

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Proficiency with locating equipment and software.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive to outdoor job sites and perform locates and drop bury tickets as assigned.
• Locate and mark underground facilities using records, maps, and prints.
• Operate locating equipment and follow procedures for accurate, high-quality locates.
• Dig or bore cable lines (6–8 inches) using digging tools or equipment.
• Document time worked and locates for billing and recordkeeping.
• Follow safety procedures and OSHA guidelines at all times.
• Take photos and complete required documentation.
• Check equipment and supplies daily to stay prepared.
• Coordinate with utility reps, contractors, owners, and teammates.
