Job summary

USIC is seeking motivated Drop Bury Technicians to perform underground utility locating and burial work at residential and commercial sites. You will mark locations, trench or bore cables, and document each locate for billing while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role requires outdoor work, valid driver’s license, and ability to work with locating equipment and field software. Comprehensive training and benefits are provided as part of a strong team culture.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Able to operate locating equipment and reference records/maps.
• Must pass a drug screen; safety-sensitive role.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Drive company vehicle to outdoor job sites and perform locates and drop bury tickets.
• Locate and mark underground facilities using records, maps and prints.
• Operate digging equipment or hand tools to trench or bore cable lines 6–8 inches deep.
• Use smartphone and field software to log time and document locates.
• Maintain safety procedures and document work for billing purposes.
• Inspect equipment and coordinate with customers, teammates and utility reps.
• Photograph each locate and drop bury and ensure customer compliance.
