Job summary

American Boring Inc. is seeking a dependable General Laborer to support underground utility and horizontal directional drilling operations. This hands-on role involves excavation, material handling, and assisting field crews at outdoor construction sites.

The ideal candidate is safety-focused, reliable, and willing to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment. In-person, full-time with opportunities for overtime and advancement.

Qualifications

• Previous construction or underground utility experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to safely operate hand tools and small equipment.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Must be safety-conscious and able to follow directions.
• Ability to pass a drug screening.
• Clean driving record preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with trenching, conduit installation, pipe placement, and backfilling operations.
• Load and unload tools, materials, and construction equipment.
• Support drill operators, equipment operators, and utility crews on job sites.
• Operate hand tools and small construction equipment safely and effectively.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
• Perform general labor and construction tasks as assigned by foreman or management.
• Assist with traffic control, site cleanup, and material handling as needed.
