American Boring Inc. is seeking a dependable General Laborer with a CDL Class A license to support underground utility and HDD operations.

This hands-on role involves excavation, material handling, site prep, and transporting equipment to job sites. You will work outdoors in a fast-paced construction environment, assisting drill operators and crews, following safety policies, and conducting routine vehicle and equipment inspections.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A License required.
• Able to pass a drug screening.
• Clean driving record preferred.
• Experience in construction or underground utility a plus but not required.

Position Summary

American Boring Inc. is seeking a dependable and hardworking General Laborer with a CDL Class A License to support underground utility and horizontal directional drilling operations. This position involves physical, hands-on work assisting with excavation, material handling, job site preparation, and transportation of equipment and materials to and from job sites.

The ideal candidate is safety-focused, reliable, and willing to work in a fast-paced outdoor construction environment while supporting crew members and equipment operators on underground utility projects.

Essential Duties

• Assist with trenching, pipe installation, conduit placement, and backfilling operations
• Load and unload tools, materials, and construction equipment
• Transport equipment and materials safely to and from job sites using company vehicles and trailers
• Support drill operators, equipment operators, and underground utility crews as needed
• Operate hand tools and small construction equipment safely and effectively
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site environment
• Follow all company safety policies, DOT regulations, and OSHA standards
• Perform general labor and construction duties as assigned by foreman or management
• Conduct routine vehicle and equipment inspections prior to operation

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A License required
• Previous construction, underground utility, or directional drilling experience preferred but not required
• Ability to operate hand tools and small equipment safely
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Must be safety-conscious and able to follow instructions

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
