Job summary

Congruex is seeking a Laborer to support underground utility construction crews, assist with excavation, and prepare sites safely and efficiently. You will coordinate with foremen and operators to backfill, install conduit, and perform potholing while emphasizing teamwork and productivity.

The role prioritizes safety, physical fitness, and the ability to work in varying weather conditions to support field operations and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening and MVR review.
• Basic construction knowledge preferred.
• Underground utility construction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attend and participate in safety/huddle meetings.
• Operate tamping machines according to specifications.
• Inspect machines and equipment and assist with daily maintenance.
• Assist with loading and unloading jobsite materials.
• Maintain a neat and clean work area.
• Assist with trench excavation, shoring placement, backfilling, conduit installation, and potholing utilities.
