You will install, maintain, and repair underground water, gas, sewage, and electrical lines while following strict safety protocols and collaborating with engineers and project managers for timely project completion.

The role requires hands-on technical skills, ability to read drawings, and the stamina for demanding fieldwork. Full-time hours and overtime may apply in line with project deadlines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training is a plus.
• Strong understanding of underground utility systems and installation/maintenance practices.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and construction plans.
• Proficiency with excavation equipment (backhoes, trenchers, hand tools).
• Knowledge of safety procedures including OSHA or equivalent.
• Physical stamina for manual labor in varying conditions.
• Effective communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Excavate and prepare sites for underground utility installation or repair.
• Install, maintain, and repair pipelines, conduits, and other utility infrastructure.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics for accurate placement.
• Operate and maintain excavation equipment and tools.
• Inspect for leaks, damages, and potential problems.
• Follow safety protocols and comply with regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure timely completion.
• Document progress, materials used, and issues encountered.
