Job summary

The Personnel Consulting Group is seeking an Underground Utilities Foreman to lead civil site work for a long-established family-run contractor. You will manage daily field crews, enforce trench safety, and oversee water, sewer, and storm drainage installations.

This role requires strong leadership, blueprint literacy, and a commitment to safety. You will coordinate equipment, track progress, and ensure OSHA compliance while delivering projects on schedule.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as a Foreman overseeing underground wet utility construction.
• Blueprint reading, laser/grade control, and excavation safety.
• OSHA trenching/excavation standards, confined space protocols, and toolbox talks.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record; ability to work outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily field operations for pipelayers, equipment operators, and laborers.
• Supervise trenching, excavation, shoring, and installation of wet utilities.
• Set pipe grade and alignment using lasers, levels, and civil plans; oversee pipe pressure and testing.
• Enforce OSHA trenching/excavation standards and confined space protocols.
• Coordinate equipment usage, material staging, 811 utility locates, and maintain daily job logs.
