Job summary

Murray Company in Cypress, CA seeks a Project Engineer to join our Underground / Civil division, supporting site utility projects. The role works with top project managers and field leaders to plan, coordinate and execute projects on schedule and within funding parameters.

You will assist in scheduling, budgeting, RFIs, submittals and reports, leveraging Excel, MS Project and Procore. A bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of project engineering experience are required, with travel around Southern

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, mechanical engineering or similar field.
• 2+ years of progressive project engineering experience in a mechanical contracting environment, underground piping and related scopes.
• Proficiency with construction software and enterprise tools (Excel, MS Project, Procore).

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager in planning work schedule, determining manpower levels, and assigning project personnel.
• Coordinate project personnel activities to keep progress on schedule and within budget.
• Identify potential problems, schedule difficulties, and advise on resolutions.
• Draft and edit letters, memos, reports, and procedures as needed.
• Oversee day-to-day administrative items including RFIs, submittals, and material requests.
• Prepare special reports and analyses with minimal supervision.
