Qualifications

• Safety-focused, detail-oriented; able to work in outdoor field conditions.
• Ability to read and interpret utility maps, prints, construction plans, and as-built documentation.
• 1 - 4+ years of utility locating experience preferred.
• Knowledge of APWA color standards for marking utilities.
• Pre-employment drug testing may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform utility locating with emphasis on safety, accuracy, and compliance.
• Locate and mark underground utilities using APWA color standards.
• Read utility maps and construction plans to identify size, type, and location of utilities.
• Operate electronic locating equipment and field tools in the field.
• Document findings and complete daily inspection reports electronically.
