Job summary

Congruex is seeking an UG Laborer in Utah to support underground utility construction, assist equipment operators, and maintain safe, efficient job sites. You will trench, place conduit, prep sites, and perform restoration while collaborating with internal crews and external clients.

The role emphasizes safety, physical labor, and teamwork, with daily site duties and a focus on meeting project needs in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Basic construction industry knowledge preferred.
• Experience with underground utility construction preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures and policies.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods in various weather conditions.
• Experience Jetting/pulling 24 Microfiber to 6912 Data Center Cable, racking and stacking cable STRONGLY desired.
• Previous underground utility construction experience.
• Experience operating small equipment and hand tools.
• CDL license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attend and participate in daily job-specific safety meetings and huddles.
• Operate tamping machines and inspect equipment for daily use and maintenance.
• Assist with loading and unloading jobsite materials and maintaining clean work areas.
• Support excavation activities including trenching, shoring, backfilling, and conduit placement.
• Perform potholing of existing utilities and assist with setting structures.
• Support concrete forming, pouring, asphalt prep, and restoration activities.
• Additional responsibilities within functional scope based on business needs.
