Job summary

Congruex is seeking an Underground Construction Operator to operate heavy equipment supporting underground telecommunications and utility projects. You will safely excavate around utilities, install underground infrastructure, and backfill while coordinating with field crews to ensure timely, safe completion.

The role requires at least 1 year of heavy equipment experience, a valid driver's license, ability to pass drug screen and MVR, and willingness to travel 25–50% for overnight project site

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid, unrestricted driver's license required.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and MVR review.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy construction equipment safely and efficiently to support underground utility installation and excavation activities.
• Review blueprints, specifications, and work orders to determine project requirements.
• Excavate, place, and remove soil and debris while safely working around existing underground utilities.
• Operate equipment to guide and install underground cable and conduit.
• Inspect, clean, and perform routine maintenance on assigned vehicles and equipment.
• Represent Congruex profesionally while interacting with customers, contractors, and the public.
