Job summary

Peak Utility Infrastructure in Grand Junction, CO is seeking a laborer to support underground utility construction and maintenance tasks. You will work with a crew, operate tools, and help prepare sites. Candidates must be able to lift up to 80 lbs, pass background checks, and have CDL A within two weeks.

This non-exempt, on-site role offers steady pay of $26–$30 per hour and opportunities to grow. Knowledge of safety procedures and ability to follow instructions are essential; bilingual skills

Qualifications

• Ability to perform heavy manual labor for extended periods.
• Learns quickly and follows safety guidelines.
• English language skills for basic record keeping.

Responsibilities

• Assist crew leader in construction/reconstruction and maintenance work
• Assist equipment operators, swamping, hand digging, locating underground obstructions
• Work with specialized equipment including jackhammers, rotary drills, power actuated fasteners and other necessary tools
• Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials
• Work safely around backhoes, excavators, trenchers and dump truck
• Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards
