Job summary

Peak Utility Infrastructure is seeking a Laborer II to support underground utility projects in residential and commercial areas. The role involves assisting the crew leader with construction, maintenance, and reconstruction work, while handling equipment and following safety practices.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent, CDL A, and the ability to obtain a state driver's license. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus; background checks and a pre-employment drug screen are

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent desired
• Experience working with underground utilities desired
• CDL A is required for this position
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
• Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Residence Driver’s License is required within two weeks of employment.
• Candidates must pass criminal and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background checks and pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Assist crew leader in construction/ reconstruction and maintenance work
• Assist equipment operators, swamping, hand digging, locating underground obstructions
• Work with specialized equipment including jackhammers, rotary drills, power actuated fasteners and other necessary tools
• Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials
• Work safely around backhoes, excavators, trenchers and dump truck
• Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards
• Complete duties as assigned
