Job summary

Primoris Services Corporation is seeking an Underground Operator in the United States to operate excavators and other heavy equipment for underground utility projects. You will read blueprints, locate utilities, and ensure safe, efficient trenching and backfilling work.

Responsibilities include equipment inspections, reporting issues, coordinating with the ground crew, and maintaining a clean work area while adhering to PPE and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of heavy equipment operation experience.
• CDL preferred; clean driving record.
• Ability to read blueprints and utility maps.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators, backhoes, trenchers and other heavy equipment for underground utility work.
• Read blueprints and locate utilities to ensure accurate excavation.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and fluid checks.
• Monitor equipment and report issues to supervision.
• Follow safety regulations and wear PPE.
• Coordinate with ground crew and assist with manual tasks.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and effective communication with team.
