Job summary

Primoris Services Corporation seeks an Operator Dominion to safely operate heavy equipment on construction and utility projects, performing excavation, trenching, backfilling, and material handling.

You will conduct pre-operation checks, read blueprints, coordinate with crews, and maintain clean, compliant worksites while adhering to safety policies; CDL may be required for certain roles and a valid driver’s license is needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3-5 years of experience operating heavy equipment.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL may be required for certain roles.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction plans.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment (excavators, backhoes, dozers, trenchers, loaders, compactors) safely and efficiently.
• Conduct pre-operation safety checks and routine maintenance.
• Read blueprints and project documents to ensure accurate execution.
• Dig trenches, excavate foundations, and grade terrain per specs and safety rules.
• Load/unload materials and communicate with supervisors on site.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and assist with manual tasks as needed.
• Troubleshoot minor malfunctions and report major issues.
