Job summary

Primoris Services Corporation seeks an Underground Operator in Lithonia, GA to operate excavators, backhoes, trenchers, and other heavy equipment for underground utility installation and repair. You will read blueprints, locate lines, and follow project specs while performing inspections and safety procedures.

Responsibilities include coordinating with the ground crew, maintaining equipment, and ensuring timely project completion in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment for underground utility construction.
• Valid CDL Class A or B preferred with clean driving record.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and utility maps.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators, backhoes, trenchers and other heavy equipment for installation and repair of underground utilities.
• Read blueprints and locate utility lines; interpret project specifications.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report issues.
• Adhere to safety regulations and wear PPE; implement traffic control measures.
• Coordinate with ground crew to ensure smooth workflow and project completion.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and communicate effectively with supervisors and clients.
