Job summary

Primoris Services Corporation is hiring an Underground Laborer to perform essential manual tasks supporting underground utility construction projects. You will assist skilled trades, operate basic tools, and work outdoors in challenging conditions.

Responsibilities include trenching, loading materials, and maintaining a safe work site with proper PPE. Experience in construction is a plus; you must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and pass pre-employment checks. Live near Austin, TX preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior experience in construction or heavy civil work is a plus.
• Ability to perform strenuous physical labor in various weather conditions.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Team-oriented and safety-conscious.

Responsibilities

• Excavate trenches and ditches using hand tools and power equipment.
• Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment from trucks and trailers.
• Assist with installation, repair, and maintenance of underground utilities.
• Perform backfilling, compacting, and grading of trenches.
• Operate small equipment such as tampers, jackhammers, and cut-off saws.
• Maintain a clean and organized work site and follow PPE requirements.
• Flag traffic and direct equipment to ensure a safe work zone.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
