Job summary

American Edge Partners in the United States is seeking a Civil Estimator with hands-on underground utility experience to own the numbers from first takeoff to final bid. You will independently perform quantity takeoffs, price labor/material/equipment and prepare detailed bid proposals for private developers, collaborating with PMs and field teams to align estimates with production.

Qualifications

5+ years of civil estimating experience focused on underground utilities.
Proficiency with estimating software Bid2Win or Agtek.
Ability to price projects independently with takeoffs from day one.
Strong reading of civil plans and specs.

Responsibilities

Perform complete quantity takeoffs for civil, utility, excavation, and concrete scopes.
Develop full project pricing, including labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
Prepare detailed bid proposals and cost breakdowns for private developer clients.
Review plans, specs, and geotechnical reports to identify risks, opportunities, and value-engineering options.
Collaborate with project managers and field teams to ensure estimates align with production capabilities.
Track bid results and maintain a feedback loop to sharpen future pricing accuracy.
