Job summary

Kanaan Communications, LLC in Midland, Michigan seeks a Telecom Drill Bores Operator to install underground telecommunications cables and infrastructure.

You will determine bore paths, operate drill equipment safely, verify utilities, and maintain bore schedules while working in all weather conditions. The role offers weekly pay, PTO, holidays, and benefits including medical, 401(k) with company match, and education reimbursement.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older
• Authorization to work in the United States
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
• Valid state driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain
• Experience with drilling equipment and bore setup/design processes

Responsibilities

• Determine bore path and locate utilities
• Safely operate and control all necessary equipment to complete tasks
• Verify existing utilities by potholing to determine bore path
• Utilize mud mixing systems
• Develop and maintain a bore schedule
• Site setup, cleanup and equipment maintenance
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned
