Job summary
MAPEI is seeking an Underground Technologies Specialist Intern to work with our technical and commercial teams, gaining hands-on experience through customer-site visits, field trials, laboratory work, and sales-support activities. The program runs May–August 2027 (12 weeks) with a full-time schedule (40 hours/week).
It is a remote, travel-based role located in Salt Lake City, UT or West Chicago, IL, offering mentorship and potential full-time opportunities after graduation and an hourly pay rate
Qualifications
- Actively pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate degree in Civil, Mining, Geological Engineering, or a related field (juniors and seniors preferred)
- An innovative mindset and strong motivation to learn and succeed
- Willingness to travel
Responsibilities
- Support technical assistance for customers, including on-site visits, hands-on training, and technical presentations
- Support product sales, job-site activities, and customer training sessions
- Participate in field trials, product demonstrations, competitive analysis, and special projects
- Assist with laboratory testing and evaluation of products and materials
- Help prepare technical reports, presentations, and project documentation
- Collaborate with technical, commercial, laboratory, and field teams
