MAPEI, a world leader in building solutions, seeks a Mechanical Engineering Intern for our West Chicago, IL facility. You will work with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams on equipment, processes, and improvement projects in a live manufacturing environment.

The program offers hands-on learning, mentorship, and exposure to cross-functional teams, with potential for full-time opportunities after graduation.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
• Demonstrated motivation to learn and succeed in a hands-on environment.
• Willingness to travel as part of the internship program.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering projects involving manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
• Help develop/update equipment drawings, specifications, layouts, and technical documentation.
• Collect, organize, and analyze equipment and process-performance data.
• Assist with preparing project plans, reports, presentations, and other deliverables.
• Support preventive maintenance, reliability, safety, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, operations, and other cross-functional teams.
