Xcel Energy is seeking a Splicer Mechanic to join the Chestnut Service Center team in the Metro West region. The role focuses on construction maintenance and emergency repairs of underground distribution systems, with duties including vault maintenance, cable pulling, and conductor splicing.

The ideal candidate holds a High school diploma or GED, an apprenticeship or equivalent, and a valid Class A CDL with medical certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Splicer Mechanic apprenticeship or equivalent completed.
• Possess valid Class A CDL with medical card.
• Must be capable of safety-focused, teamwork-driven work.
• Must pass color perception test and respirator/confined space training.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for construction maintenance and emergency repairs of underground distribution systems in the Metro West region.
• Perform underground construction and maintenance work on company assets, maintain vaults, pulling cables and splicing conductors as needed.
