Job summary

MasTec Utility Services is hiring a UGE Cable Splicer to repair electrical underground distribution systems. The role involves splicing, rearranging, opening/bonding cables, and placing enclosures. You will read prints, apply color codes, and work with the Splicing team in field conditions.

The position requires a high school diploma and at least 3 years of relevant experience. A valid Class A CDL is preferred. The job is field-based and exposure to outdoor elements is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in cable splicing or utility work.
• Preferred 5+ years of experience and valid Class A CDL.

Responsibilities

• Splice and rearrange cable pairs.
• Open and bond cables.
• Place and ground various types of enclosures.
• Read splicing print and apply colour code to print reading.
• Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.
