Job summary

MasTec Utility Services is seeking a UGE Cable Splicer to repair electrical underground distribution systems. The role involves splicing, rearranging cable pairs, opening and bonding cables, and reading splicing prints in a field environment.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 3 years of experience; 5+ years preferred. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds and working outdoors in varying weather.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years of experience in electrical/splice work.
• 5+ years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Splice and rearrange cable pairs.
• Open and bond cables.
• Place and ground various types of enclosures.
• Read splicing print and apply color code to print reading.
• Dig holes and replace the dirt when work is complete.
• Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.
