Job summary

Pike Electric LLC in Manassas, VA is seeking a Cable Splicer to construct and repair electrical underground systems. You will work on energized and de-energized lines and may travel to out-of-state sites as needed.

This safety-focused role requires CDL, at least three years of underground experience, and willingness to work outages, storms, and overtime. You will report to the Foreman and mentor crew members.

Qualifications

• Three years of underground experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Willingness to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work outside normal hours, including weekends and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintain and repair energized and de-energized underground systems with safety first.
• Lead crew members in the absence of the Employee in Charge and conduct pre-job safety briefings.
• Train and mentor apprentices and groundmen.
• Install and repair underground power conductors and related hardware.
• Perform live‑line work using approved gloving and hot‑stick techniques.
• Operate backhoe, bucket trucks, digger trucks and mini excavator.
• Work outdoors in varying weather and travel to different job sites, including out-of-state.
• Follow safety protocols and PPE requirements at all times.
