Job summary

MasTec Utility Services is seeking a UGE Cable Splicer to repair electrical underground distribution systems. This field role performs splicing, cable rearrangement, opening and bonding, and grounding enclosures to support the Splicing team.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 3 years of experience, with 5+ years preferred. It entails working outdoors in varying weather, with opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years of experience.
• 5+ years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Splice and rearrange cable pairs.
• Open and bond cables.
• Place and ground various types of enclosures.
• Read splicing print and apply color code to print reading.
• Dig holes and replace the dirt when work is complete.
• Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.
