Job summary

Careermine seeks a Radio Communications Technician for Nevada mining operations at Goldstrike Underground. You will install, repair and maintain complex radio, dispatch, GPS and related systems to support field operations.

Working in a team focused on safety and efficiency, you will learn to deploy digital trunked radios, test equipment, and manage data reporting while complying with health and safety policies in a dynamic mining environment.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate a proven safety record.
• Ability to work a rotating nights/days schedule.
• Excellent attendance record required.
• Ability to schedule and prioritize workload.
• Demonstrate ability to perform the essential function of the job.
• Experience with commercial digital 2-way radio equipment preferred.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Learn to install, maintain and repair digital trunked 2-way radio systems.
• Learn to operate a volt-ohm-meter.
• Learn to install, test and maintain mobile data and truck tracking systems such as Hexagon Jigsaw dispatch systems.
• Learn to operate a digital wattmeter.
• Learn to install, test and maintain X-M satellite Radio System.
• Operate a computer system for data management and report generation.
• Operate a 2-way radio service monitor.
• Learn to install, test and maintain microwave and telemetry equipment.
• Learn to install and maintain public address systems (mobile and fixed).
• Comply with state and federal health and safety regulations, company policies and procedures, and the environmental compliance policy.
