Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is hiring a Radio Communications Technician for Goldstrike Underground in Nevada. You will install, maintain, and repair digital trunked 2-way radio systems, dispatch gear, GPS, and related operations technology to support our mining operations.

You will work with a rotating schedule, emphasizing safety, data management, and regulatory compliance while using various test equipment and telemetry tools to ensure reliable communications across the site.

Qualifications

• Proven safety record and excellent attendance required.
• Ability to schedule and prioritize workload.
• Ability to perform essential functions of the job.
• Experience with commercial digital 2-way radio equipment preferred.
• Willingness to work rotating nights and days; safety compliance required.

Responsibilities

• Learn to install, maintain and repair digital trunked 2-way radio systems
• Learn to operate a volt-ohm-meter.
• Learn to install, test and maintain mobile data and truck tracking systems such as Hexagon Jigsaw dispatch systems.
• Learn to operate a digital wattmeter.
• Learn to install, test and maintain X-M satellite Radio System.
• Operate a computer system for data management and report generation.
• Operate a 2-way radio service monitor.
• Learn to install, test and maintain microwave and telemetry equipment.
• Learn to install and maintain public address systems (mobile and fixed).
• Comply with state and federal health and safety regulations, company policies and procedures, and the environmental compliance policy.
