Job summary

MasTec Utility Services seeks an UGE Lineman to perform construction and maintenance of underground power lines from plant to meter bases, supporting the Line team across departments.

The role requires 3 years of experience, a high school diploma, and a valid driver's license. OSHA 10 certification is preferred. The position is field-based, with physical demands in varied weather conditions and a strong safety emphasis.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, or equivalent.
• 3 years of experience.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• 5 or more years of experience.
• OSHA 10 Certification.

Responsibilities

• Drive truck to jobsite and maintain truck stock.
• Provide services for construction, operation, and maintenance of the electrical distribution system.
• Perform switching procedures to isolate and insulate underground power lines safely.
• Set and work on underground transformers and devices.
• Phase and mark underground equipment.
• Connect, disconnect, install and move electrical devices on customer facilities.
• Keep records and related information up to date.
• Investigate customer issues and repair energized lines.
• Report accidents to supervisors and cooperate with investigations.
• Set good example by following safe practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
