Job summary

MasTec Utility Services is seeking an UGE Lineman to perform construction and maintenance of underground power lines from plant to meter base, supporting the Line team across departments.

This field role requires driving to jobsites, executing switching and splicing, setting transformers, and ensuring safe operation under varied weather. Applicants should have a high school diploma, 3 years' experience, a valid driver's license, and OSHA 10 certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience.
• Valid driver's license required.
• OSHA 10 Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive truck to jobsite and maintain stock.
• Provide services for construction, operation, and maintenance of the electrical distribution system.
• Perform switching to isolate and insulate, splice, and terminate underground lines.
• Set and work on underground transformers and devices.
• Phase and tag underground equipment.
• Record updates and reports related to the job.
• Investigate consumer issues and repair energized lines.
• Adhere to safety practices and report incidents promptly.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
