Job summary

Southeastern Site Development, Inc. is seeking experienced Underground Utility Pipelayers for Georgia projects. You will install storm drains, sanitary sewers, and water mains on heavy civil construction sites across the state, working with a reliable team to meet exacting specifications.

Candidates should handle trench work, read drawings, and provide safe, efficient installations. This role demands outdoor work in varying weather with lifting and physical activity expectations.

Qualifications

• Experience installing underground utility pipe in a heavy civil environment.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and grade stakes.
• Knowledge of trench safety and excavation standards.
• Ability to safely work around existing utilities.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, lift 50+ lbs, and perform physically demanding work.
• Strong attention to safety and detail.

Responsibilities

• Install storm drain, sanitary sewer, water main, and drainage pipe systems.
• Set up pipe laser and shoot grade with transit.
• Lay pipe to proper alignment and elevation per project specifications.
• Install manholes, inlets, junction boxes, and related structures.
• Perform backfill and compaction operations.
• Cut and join pipe sections as required.
• Work safely in and around trenches in accordance with OSHA standards.
• Assist with site cleanup and maintain organized work areas.
• Follow directions from supervisors and adhere to all safety protocols.
