Job summary

Southeastern Site Development, Inc. seeks experienced Underground Utility Pipelayers for infrastructure and roadway projects across Coastal Georgia, including Savannah. The role involves installing storm drainage, sanitary sewer, and water mains for heavy civil and municipal construction.

Applicants should read drawings, manage grade stakes, and safely work around utilities in outdoor conditions. DOT/municipal project experience is a plus, with competitive pay based on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience installing underground utility pipe in a heavy civil environment.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and grade stakes.
• Knowledge of trench safety and excavation standards.
• Ability to safely work around existing utilities.

Responsibilities

• Install storm drain, sanitary sewer, water main, and drainage pipe systems.
• Set up pipe laser and shoot grade with transit.
• Lay pipe to proper alignment and elevation per project specifications.
• Install manholes, inlets, junction boxes, and related structures.
• Perform backfill and compaction operations.
• Cut, and join pipe sections as required.
• Work safely in trenches per OSHA standards.
• Assist with site cleanup and maintain organized work areas.
