Qualifikationen

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• 1+ year of underground utility construction experience preferred.

Aufgaben

• Install, repair, and assemble underground sewer, water, and storm drainage pipe systems according to project specifications.
• Read blueprints, construction plans, and utility layouts to determine proper installation methods.
• Establish proper line and grade and verify pipe elevations throughout installation.
• Inspect excavation areas to identify existing utilities, obstructions, and potential hazards.
• Install pipe while maintaining proper alignment, grade, and joint integrity.
• Cut pipe using hand and power tools, including saws and pipe cutters.
• Assemble and install PVC, ductile iron, steel, copper, and other piping materials.
• Connect piping using couplings, fittings, and other installation methods.
• Install restraints, clamps, hangers, and other pipe support systems.
• Conduct pressure testing and leak testing on water installations when required.
• Assist equipment operators with trench operations, pipe placement, and material handling.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow OSHA trench safety requirements and company safety policies.
• Wear all required PPE.
• Perform other duties to support operations.
