Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking an Underground Engineer II or III to join our team in Elko, NV. This role focuses on safety, technical proficiency, and collaboration with engineers, operations, surveyors, and geologists.

Responsibilities include mine design and planning, audits for compliance, and coordination with operations to minimize disruptions. A Bachelor’s in Mining Engineering and Deswik/Python/SQL skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong presentation and verbal skills across all levels.
• Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering is required.
• Proficiency with Deswik, Python, and SQL is preferred.
• Engineer-in-Training or FE exam preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce mine production reporting and KPI tracking.
• Lead mine design and planning for short and long range horizons.
• Audit site compliance and identify efficiency improvements.
• Plan exploration drilling and mine-to-mill reconciliation.
• Design and as-built layouts for underground development and services.
• Prepare site forecasts and budgets, and present findings.
